Founded in 2020 by LA Chamber Orchestra Principal Oboist Claire Brazeau as a response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Virtual Oboe Competition (VOC) strives to support and amplify young and emerging oboists by providing high-level online resources and opportunities to young musicians across the globe. Through partnerships with the world’s leading music institutions and the internationally-renowned musicians and pedagogues who form VOC’s distinguished jury panel, we aim to offer opportunities to future generations of talented oboists, while building community through music.
